Haha" to the eight million people who have Minecraft 1.8.
lag? Guess you'll never be able to touch the Godzilla Mod again since we're updating to that version! Wait for Optifine and hope that works (assuming you can get past it's tedious installation process). There's no excuse for this, and you're basically saying "Oh, you're having 1.8. I got a brand new computer that runs much better than my previous one (because it's a Desktop) and 1.8. Even if Optifine manages to make the lag 'not so bad', it will STILL be inexcusably slow for me. The downside? I can't do anything because the lag is so bad that I can barely place blocks and survival/hardcore mode immediately becomes a joke. So I go on a pre-existing world and that loads. Sure, it might not seem that long, but it's inexcusable given that some games don't even have loading screens any more and other games like TF2 are heavier in the graphics/RAM/Everything department and it still runs infinitely better than Minecraft 1.8. It took a total of 4 minutes and 16 seconds to finally load the world. I tested this, even after three minutes, nothing happened. Now, when playing with friends, all players do not need to go to bed. I create a new world, and fall into an endless abyss. The One Player Sleep Script mod adds a very useful feature to Minecraft. lag is so severe that Minecraft barely boots up for me. lag that I've shown, that means EIGHT MILLION PEOPLE will just have to suck it up and not play Minecraft any more because the other eight million don't get the lag. That's a large number, right? If half of the people get the severe 1.8. I'm going to go on the Minecraft website and see how many sales there are. Normally, half and half wouldn't be so bad, but remember how big the Minecraft community is now. You have to remember that we can update to 1.6.4 NOW instead of waiting for Forge AND Optifine 1.8 to come out, assuming that they do given the Microsoft buyout.Īlso, just because one half doesn't have any problem running 1.8, it means the other half should perish and never play an updated Minecraft version again? Jesus, you people make no sense. I don't like 1.8 as it is, it added barely any features I'd ever use and, like I've already stated, created lots of lag.
Forcing people to install a mod so the lag will go away is just dumb (and it further proves my point that Mojang is a godawful, unprofessional and lazy company) and I'm not going to.
Tihyo already said he gets the lag himself on the computer. It doesn't increase the framerate or anything, and sometimes it straight up doesn't work.
Optifine, strangely enough, does nothing on my computer. At least half of the players didn't had any problems running 1.8, and once the Optifine for that version comes out the fps issue will not be as bad.
